FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE Naperville, December 6th, 2021
KLA Schools of Naperville and Plainfield celebrated the groundbreaking of their third school, Naperville West coming sometime in the Fall of 2022 this past week. The guest list included many supporters, including members from the chamber of commerce of Naperville and some of the KLA franchise team. Some students from the existing schools attended, as their projects are related to construction.
Erica Koegel, the executive director for the three schools, gave an eloquent speech chronicling her journey with Selvei from the opening of the first school to this point. She shared that “they had no idea when they started that they were going to have such an impact in the community. We have been blessed to be welcomed into the Naperville community and that they have been so supportive of our first and now a second school in the city. We are looking forward to expanding our reach and leaving more positive traces in the community.”
An additional highlight was when Heather Fugate, the school principal for the existing Naperville school, read a story to the children that was fitting for the event, The mighty, mighty construction site. The children were also given copies of this classic book to take home with them. The students were ecstatic to be a part of the day’s events and enjoyed taking the bus to the construction site.
Selvei Rajkumar, the managing director of the schools, said, “I am thrilled to be bringing another school to my hometown and to have the opportunity to serve more families. I have had my eye on the Beebe Road site for quite a few years, and as soon as I saw it was available, I knew it was time to expand our outstanding preschool program to more families in Naperville. We are excited that the construction has started and look forward to an opening sometime in the Fall”.
Carrie Hemmer, the admissions director and financial manager for the three schools shared that the school itself will feature over 12,800 feet of learning space. This includes classrooms, a piazza, and a Stem Atelier. There will also be nature inspired outdoor classroom for the children to explore. The school will be very similar to the current Naperville location, and tours will be conducted for the new school there until the site is complete.
KLA has open enrollment and offers personalized virtual and in-person Saturday visits by appointment. Please get in touch with Carrie Hemmer, our admissions director, to schedule a school visit.
